Adrian Hon is a game designer, author, and former CEO and founder of Six to Start. While at Six to Start, Adrian co-created Zombies, Run! (the world’s bestselling smartphone fitness game, with over ten million players), led the design of Marvel Move, won Best of Show at SXSW, and worked on multiple projects with Disney Imagineering.
Adrian’s most recent book is “You’ve Been Played: How Corporations, Governments, and Schools Use Games to Control Us All”, a critique of gamification which The New York Times called “illuminating and persuasive”. He also wrote the sci-fi novel “A History of the Future in 100 Objects”, which Stewart Brand called “the right way to think about the future”. Adrian has spoken at the flagship TED conference, the Long Now Foundation, and GoogleX. He is currently writing a book about the rise of immersive experiences.
Before becoming a game designer, Adrian was a neuroscientist and experimental psychologist at Cambridge, UCSD, and Oxford.
